This Bushing along with VU535 is designed to replace the actual center bushing in the mount. You may use either bushing (VU535 or VR583) in the 8649597 Engine Mount. VU535 uses Urethane and is a 2-piece unit, so it can be installed without having to press it in. VR583 uses the Standard Rubber material and is 1-piece unit, so it needs to be pressed in.

In order to replace the original style bushing a technician has to remove the complete bracket, which could take up to 2-3 hours time. With this NEW Urethane 3-piece bushing kit, removing the original style bushing and installing this Urethane bushing could take less than half an hour. Kit consist of 1 split bushing (2 pieces), 1 sleeve, and 1 bolt and nut.
